BetMax Sports needed real-time social media presence during live sporting events to capitalize on betting moments. We built a social media command center — a team of sports-savvy content creators producing live commentary, in-play betting tips, memes, and instant highlight reactions across Twitter, Instagram Stories, and TikTok during 200+ events per month.

BetMax Sports had a social media presence that was essentially a billboard — posting static promotional graphics with bonus offers 3-4 times per week across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Engagement was abysmal: average post reach was under 2% of followers, comments averaged 3-5 per post (mostly complaints), and the accounts had zero presence on TikTok or during live sporting events.
For a sportsbook, this was a critical failure — live sports are inherently social, generating real-time conversation, emotion, and engagement that a well-positioned brand can capture. Competitors were dominating sports social media with real-time content, meme marketing, and creator partnerships.
BetMax's 200K combined followers across platforms generated effectively zero registrations or deposits from organic social. The social media team consisted of one junior marketer creating promotional graphics in Canva. During major events like the Champions League final or Super Bowl, BetMax posted a single pre-scheduled promotional graphic while competitors generated hundreds of real-time engagement moments.
We transformed BetMax's social media operation into a real-time sports content command center. Team Buildout: we embedded a 6-person social media war room — a content lead, 2 real-time content creators, a video editor, a community manager, and a data analyst — integrated with BetMax's marketing team.
The team operated on a shift system covering 200+ live sporting events per month across football, basketball, tennis, cricket, and combat sports. Real-Time Content Engine: for every major event, the team produced live content in real-time — instant reaction graphics, short-form video highlights with commentary, in-play betting angle callouts, half-time analysis clips, post-match hot takes, and meme-format content capitalizing on trending moments.
Content was formatted natively for each platform: vertical video for TikTok and Instagram Stories, threaded commentary for Twitter, carousel breakdowns for Instagram feed, and short clips for Facebook Reels. TikTok Launch: we launched BetMax's TikTok from zero, posting 3-5 videos daily featuring pre-match predictions, creator collaborations with sports commentators, reaction-style content, and educational betting content.
TikTok grew from 0 to 85K followers in 5 months. Instagram Stories/Reels: we developed an Instagram strategy centered on Stories (20-30 per event day with polls, quizzes, and predictions) and Reels (3-4 daily featuring match highlights and betting insights).
Twitter Coverage: we built a reputation for the fastest, most entertaining live-event commentary in the betting space, averaging 150+ tweets per major event with real-time visuals. Results at 6 months: total social following grew from 200K to 520K, average engagement rate increased from 0.8% to 6.2%, social-referred registrations went from near-zero to 2,800/month, TikTok alone drives 1,100 monthly registrations, and BetMax was recognized as a top-5 most engaging sportsbook social presence in their market.

“Our social media went from a dead billboard to the most engaging sportsbook account in our market. The real-time command center covering 200+ events per month transformed our brand perception — we're now the account that bettors follow for live sports content. Going from zero social registrations to 2,800 a month shows this isn't just a branding play, it's a performance channel.”
